SUMMARY:IL GRANDE MACABRO - mostra multimediale a cura di FontanaMIX e In.Nova Fert

SUMMARY:Voices of Violin\, Gaudeamus - Joe Puglia
DESCRIPTION:Violinist Joe Puglia is known to be one of the absolute top violinists in the world. When he had to return his beloved violin\, which he had played for 9 years\, to its owner\, he tried out more than 80 violins before choosing his next one. In the process\, he discovered how each violin has its own personality and voice. \nAn insight that is central to his project Voices of the Violin: new pieces for solo violin in which the focus is on the personality of the violin\, rather than that of the violinist. An exploration of how a musician is connected to his instrument\, and how they grow together into a musical voice. \nJoseph Puglia plays a violin by Anselmo Bellosio\, Venice\, c. 1785\, owned by the Karel Appel Foundation. \n\nPROGRAMME \nAya Yoshida – Drape\nNew works by Alice Yeung\, Jasper de Bock\, Livia Malossi\, Arieh Chrem and Martijn Padding

SUMMARY:Mr. White - A Musical gaming experience
DESCRIPTION:Mr. White by Livia Malossi Bottignole is a game piece\, a genre of experimental music that can be considered as controlled improvisation. \nMr. White is inspired by the game ‘Undercover’\, a social deduction game that models a conflict between two groups: a minority (the Undercover)\, and a majority (the Civilians). At the start of the game\, each musician is secretly assigned a role affiliated with one of these teams and a secret musical material\, which is the only clue for them to discover their identities and oust their enemies. The game has two alternating phases: first\, a day role\, during which they must carefully give away information about their fragment to try to find out who is on their team and who isn’t\, and second\, a night role\, in which players debate the identities of players and vote to eliminate a suspect. Through multiple rounds of elimination\, they will discover their own identities and oust their enemies. Rounds are shown also to the audience via projections and images\, who are the only ones aware of all the identities of the players. \nThis piece can be played by any number of musicians and instrument types\, and the length of the piece is not pre-determined and can be set by the ensemble. \nProgramme: \nMr. White played by workshops participants (10’) \nMr. White played by Ensemble (30′) \nMr. White Jam session – open to public  \n  \nCreative Team: \n\nLivia Malossi Bottignole\, Composer and Project manager \nGiorgio Zangarini\, Technical lead \nMichele Rampino\, Workshop Lead \n\nEnsemble: \n\nIvan Gianakis\, conductor \nMichele Rampino\, guitar\nPorter Ellerman\, percussion\nLuis Tolda\, piano\nYannos Toskas\, doublebass\nSteinn Halldórsson\, trombone \nNiccolò Angioni\, trumpet\n\n\n  \nThe Project “Mr. White – A Musical gaming experience” is realized with the support of The Hague Municipality\, Studio Loos Foundation and Movin’Up Spettacolo-Performing Arts 2022/2023. \n\n\n\n\nIl progetto “Mr. \n\n\n\n\nMOVIN’UP SPETTACOLO – PERFORMING ARTS 2022/2023 \n\n\n\n\nA cura di MIC Ministero della Cultura – Direzione Generale Spettacolo e GAI – Associazione per il Circuito dei Giovani Artisti Italiani insieme con Regione Puglia – TPP Teatro Pubblico Pugliese e con GA/ER – Associazione Giovani Artisti dell’Emilia Romagna \nMOVIN’UP SPETTACOLO – PERFORMING ARTS 2022/2023\npromoted by MIC Ministry of Culture – General Directorate for Performing Arts and GAI Association for the Circuit of the Young Italian Artists together with TPP Puglia Public Theater – Apulia Region and with GA/ER Association Young Artists of Emilia Romagna

SUMMARY:Mr. White Workshop
DESCRIPTION:While working on the piece Mr White\, the creative team realised that there was a demand from musicians to explore and build new skills in game pieces and controlled improvisation works. \nTherefore the project team has developed a workshop proposal to explore effective improvisation for in game pieces\, to be held at Studio Loos on June 16th. The workshop is open to members of the public with any kind of musical background\, and will utilize Mr White as a training tool to deal with improvisation technique. The workshop will result in a public presentation of the work by the workshop participants during the concert on June 17th. \nThe workshop explores ‘playfulness’ as a directive for performers\, and aims to explore social dynamics and communication through music and non-verbal means. By involving the audience we aim to offer another perspective on using technology and game-play in performance\, for both audience and performers. \nThe workshop will be held by Livia Malossi\, composer and project manager; Giorgio Zangarini\, tech and creative code lead and Michele Rampino\, ensemble coach. \nThe duration of the workshop will be adjusted to the number of participant and will be held in the morning. The exact timing will be later communicated to the participants.\nEveryone is welcome\, no specific musical skills are required. The workshop is free\, and a maximum of 12 participants are allowed. Topics are gonna be tailored based on actual participants.  \nTo join the workshop\, send an email to livia.malossi@gmail.com with a brief presentation of your musical experience. \n \nThe Project “Mr. White – Workshop” is realized with the support of The Hague Municipality\, Studio Loos Foundation and Movin’Up Spettacolo-Performing Arts 2022/2023. \n\n\n\n\nIl progetto “Mr. \n\n\n\n\nMOVIN’UP SPETTACOLO – PERFORMING ARTS 2022/2023 \n\n\n\n\nA cura di MIC Ministero della Cultura – Direzione Generale Spettacolo e GAI – Associazione per il Circuito dei Giovani Artisti Italiani insieme con Regione Puglia – TPP Teatro Pubblico Pugliese e con GA/ER – Associazione Giovani Artisti dell’Emilia Romagna \nMOVIN’UP SPETTACOLO – PERFORMING ARTS 2022/2023\npromoted by MIC Ministry of Culture – General Directorate for Performing Arts and GAI Association for the Circuit of the Young Italian Artists together with TPP Puglia Public Theater – Apulia Region and with GA/ER Association Young Artists of Emilia Romagna

SUMMARY:VoCo Project - Spring Festival
DESCRIPTION:From 17 until 21 April 2023\, the 56th edition of the Spring Festival will take place in Amare and the Korzo Theater in The Hague. The Spring Festival has become legendary and represents a great opportunity to keep abreast of the latest developments among the youngest generation of composers. During this year’s festival\, the artistic results of numerous collaborations with other departments in the Royal Conservatoire and with big names from the professional field will be presented\, such as the Vocal project\, a new series of works for percussion and saxophones\, the first project with the trombone class and a dazzling concert with new works by students for the illustrious Calefax ensemble. \nThe Conservatoire’s Composition department has traditionally been a breeding ground for new ensembles. The students’ brand-new large orchestra\, the New Music Orchestra\, which they founded themselves\, will be appearing at this year’s festival. And of course there will be a new edition of the extremely adventurous collaboration with the students of the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) and a concert by the masterful New European Ensemble featuring new works by Conservatoire students. This is an event you do not want to miss! \nThis project is supported by students from the Art of Sound department. \nVoCo Project is a collaborative project between the vocal department and the composition department. The project is led by Noa Frenkel (Voice) and Mayke Nas (Composition). \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Nuova commissione ErrePomeriggi - Collettivo In.Nova Fert

SUMMARY:The Busy Drone - Mechanical Organ Project
DESCRIPTION:The Orgelpark is a venue in Amsterdam that seeks to recontextualize the (pipe) organ’s place in our current musical environment. There are many instruments in the building including an old mechanical organ from the early 20th century. This organ\, the Busy Drone\, had its genesis as a dance hall organ somewhere in Belgium\, not unlike a jukebox. However\, in the mid 20th century\, it was sold to the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and put into the care of a foundation called “The Busy Bee” who then commissioned many composers\, Guus Jansen\, Hans Muller\, Vera Vingerhoeds\, Louis Andreissen\, and Gilius van Bergeijk among others. There has also been an impressive list of KC students that have also composed for the instrument! \nThe Orgelpark is non-profit foundation working in the areas of musical philanthropy and education with the belief that new music is just as important as established repertoire. The Busy Drone itself has a rich tradition of commissioning work\, especially among KC students. Gilius van Bergeijk\, a former KC teacher\, worked extensively with the instrument. \n
