VoCo Project – Spring Festival

From 17 until 21 April 2023, the 56th edition of the Spring Festival will take place in Amare and the Korzo Theater in The Hague. The Spring Festival has become legendary and represents a great opportunity to keep abreast of the latest developments among the youngest generation of composers. During this year’s festival, the artistic results of numerous collaborations with other departments in the Royal Conservatoire and with big names from the professional field will be presented, such as the Vocal project, a new series of works for percussion and saxophones, the first project with the trombone class and a dazzling concert with new works by students for the illustrious Calefax ensemble.

The Conservatoire’s Composition department has traditionally been a breeding ground for new ensembles. The students’ brand-new large orchestra, the New Music Orchestra, which they founded themselves, will be appearing at this year’s festival. And of course there will be a new edition of the extremely adventurous collaboration with the students of the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) and a concert by the masterful New European Ensemble featuring new works by Conservatoire students. This is an event you do not want to miss!
