Places
for cello solo
About
Note per l’esecuzione_VL001
Places is inspired by the renewed gaze of my childhood spaces after almost two years of absence (or sporadical returns) to my home, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, after a very stressful period.
It is the synthesis of my feeling for the rediscovery of nature (to which I had begun to be no longer used) and an exploration of the complex dialogue between timbre and harmony, that only an instrument like cello can express with such power and intimacy at the same time.

Places is a personal musical transposition of the sensation obtained at the sight of large and wide spaces that cannot be experienced in a big city, living in the center between huge gray walls.
